Day One.
December 1st is a strange time to start a new program of anything. Resolutions are something usually saved for the first of the year or birthdays or some life altering crisis. There have been none such moments. But it is a full moon, and discipline is the root of all real change and there is no time like the present to form presence. So today I am assessing where I am, where I need to go from here and hoping to make a commitment to actually strengthening my wings enough to use them, and for 365 days I will honestly blog here about my efforts to become a functional me.
What I did today that I feel helps me in my goals.
Listened to Eat, Pray, Love audiobook in the car
Recertified my CPR
Meditated
Talked to the Moon
Drove a little farther to shop where I could buy organic greens
Worked on Loom scarf
What I didn't do today (things I momentarily wanted to do but knew I shouldn't)
I did not shop Walmart
I did not stop for fast food at Mcdonald's (Coke cup) or Burger King (New Moon swag)
What I spent today
37$ Lunch with Sara at Cheesecake factory - vegetarian, garlicky and lovely
57$ knitting shop (non-profit agency) for needles and organic cottons for Christmas presents
54$ Safeway for grocery's, wine for tonights ritual, dog food
43$ Borders for one Christmas movie, two books for Christmas presents, and the MaryJane magazine
$25 Quiktrip;White tea and the (eeek!) cheesy fried stick thing, gas fill-up and 4 dollars to state lottery (came home and learned I'd won $14 on scratchers)
